Ingredients

  • 2-3 hours Cooking time
  • 250 ml cup
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 2-3 cups water ( approximately, adjust )
  • 1 teaspoon of oil ( I use sesame oil)
  • pinch of salt
  •  
  • For the dal stuffing ( to be ground )
  • 1 cup pigeon peas/tuvar dal/arhar dal
  • 4-5 dry red chillies
  • pinch of asafoetida
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
