Ingredients

  • 1 hour A very popular punjabi aloo matar curry recipe made using onion tomato gravy and into it potatoes and green peas are cooked in the form of a curry
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 medium size onion
  • chopped
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 medium size potatoes, finely diced
  • 1 cup matar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 2. If not using pressure cooking method then, cook the curry until the aloo and the matar turns soft by following the slow cooking method
