Taste the mixture and adjust the spices/salt to suit your taste. Usually butter or chutney is served withAlooParatha and in rural parts of northern and western India, lassi is served along with it
Aloo Mutter Paratha. Heat a tawa/griddle & cook these parathas in medium low flame till its light brown on both sides with little oil smeared both sides of the parathas
Heat a tawa, place a rolled out paratha on the tawa, let it cook a little from both sides without adding oil/ghee, then brush oil/ghee on both sides and fry till they are golden brown
Cook the paratha on a hot tawa/ griddle until dark spots form on both sides. I served this yummy filling Amritsari parathaswith some Palak Paneer (recipe coming up soon)
Peel of the skin of potatoes and mash them well without lumps. Add other ingredients with it mix well and make lemon size balls out of it and keep aside
Flip onto other side and again wait until it is hit by brown spot and the co lour of the paratha appears to be white throughout with little brown spots on both the sides
AlooParatha is universally loved Punjabistuffedbread that can be had for any meal. There are few dishes that can beat the satisfaction of a well-made, warm AlooParathawith chilled dahi (curd or plain yoghurt), white butter and spicy pickle
Generally we see aalooparathas or matar ( green peas ) parathas, but I prefer to take both and use in this paratha for the simple reason that I find the mashed potatoes holds the mashed green peas well and we can make a great flat parathawithout spilling the stuffing
Serve it hot with Chilli Tomato Sauce. IndianalooBread Toast,. Potato toast or the Aloo toast is yet another simple bread toast recipe to try when you feel lazy to cook 😜
Preparation of Kulcha is similar to paratha preparation. Heat the pan drizzle teaspoon of butter/ oil and place the kulcha, drizzle a teaspoon of butter/oil on kulcha and flip the kulcha when u see the bubbles
