Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar. The original recipe called for 1 cup and I significantly reduced this as the bananas are sweet by themselves, especially if they really ripe. I would suggest adjusting the sugar as per your preference.
  • 2 ripe bananas. The original recipe asked for 3 bananas but then I found that this led to a soggy bake and parts of the bread remained raw even after a significant time in the oven especially if the bananas were ripe! So 2 bananas it is…
  • 4 tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1.5 c Whole wheat flour (I use the same flour that I use for my rotis, Ashirvad brand.)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 c milk
