I always have a fear of doing any stuffed vegetables but after trying stuffed brinjal / Eggplant the next item on my list is stuffed okra / ladies finger
This Indian style Okra recipe goes really well with boiled rice ,chappathi,appam,idli ,dosa etc. a Lady'sfinger is that couple of years back ,I saved a few seeds from some mature lady's finger pods and they have been sooo loyal to me that year after year,all I have to do is put a nice foundation of soil and hide these seeds inside it and after a few days ,lo & behold - they break apart the soil and sprout back into life as if they were desperate enough to see me
Rinse the bhindi/okra well in water. Remove the base and stalk while chopping the bhindi. when you are going to cook it, make sure that okra must be dry
You can use the same masala to stuff in tindora,brinjal,karela/bittergourd and even capsicum. As the chef says,the masala used in this recipe can be used to make Bharwa Shimla mirchi, Bharwan Karela and even stuffed tindora
Even if you don’t like this vegetable, you would want to eat kurkuri bhindi fry. I, recently, got to know that there are many people who doesn’t like this vegetable
Remove it and grind once it cools down. Serve hot with roti/rice Oil. In this recipe, the okra is sauteed in oil separately before adding it the gravy thus removing its sliminess
I must admit that I love the taste of okra and the texture does not bother me much. Je dois admettre que j'aime le goût du gombo et que la texture ne me dérange pas beaucoup
