Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup toor dal, cooked until soft and disintegrating
  • 350 g tender eggplants
  • 3 tspn ghee
  • 0.5 tspn turmeric powder
  • 6 green chillies
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch asafoetida
  • 10 curry leaves
  • tadka
  • 2 tspn ghee
  • 1 tspn brown mustard seeds
  • 1.5 tspn black gram dal (split urad dal)
  • 2 Indian dried red chillies
