( Cut brinjal in to straight long pieces and keep it in a bowl of water with a pinch of salt ). (Grind roasted dal, enough salt, mirchi powder in to fine powder }

Potato fry/Urulai varuval is the most common accompaniment forrice in South India. Everyone have their own recipe for this varuval, here is my take on this delicious potato fry
Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry a bit. TO ROAST AND GRIND. Normally I make this for lunch box,but it can be equally enjoyed at home too
