  • 1/2 lemon size
  • 3. Add the bay leaves and curry leaves and saute for few seconds. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off.
  • 4. Add the sliced shallots and saute till it turns transparent. Add in the chopped tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes become soft.
  • 5. Add the brinjals and mix it. Cook for 2 minute on a medium flame.
  • 7. Add in the tamarind pulp and mix it well. Measure and add water. Mix well.
  • 8. All the water to boil. Drain the water from soaked rice and add it to the pressure cooker.
  • 1. We can use any rice for this dish like normal boiled rice or basmati or seeraga samba etc.
  • 4. You can also cut the brinjals to a smaller sized pieces.
