Do not make this dosa either very thin nor very thick,if it is very thin your dosa will get hard once it is cold and if it is very thick it would become very chewy
Batter should not be toothick or too thin. The next day, after fermentation,it would become thick. This is my recent recipe for making soft idlis and crispy dosas if the quality of rice and dal is bad
And the result is softsoft idlies like spongy pillows. Check the consistency of the batter it has to be smooth and without grains of rice and it has to be thick and not too liquid
