Cali Rice / Cauliflower & mixed veggies rice

Ingredients

  • Cooking Time :10 min
  • Prep Time :10 min
  • 1 )oil -1 tbs
  • 2 )cumin &mustard seeds -1 tbsp
  • 3 )turmeric - pinch
  • 4 )salt -1 tbsp
  • 5 )curry leaves
  • 6 )mixed veggies - 1cup ( if you don't have this then add some carrots,beans,green peas)
  • 7 )green chili -5
  • 8 )garam masala- 1/2 tbsp
  • 9 )onion-1/2 (optional)
  • 10 )urad dal -1/2 tbsp
  • 11 )Cauliflower -1

Instructions

    1)Wash, trim and cut the cauliflower into big florets. You can use a food processor/ mini chopper or the coarse side of a grater to cut the cauliflower into small grain like rice. Set aside.
    2)Take a pan heat some oil ,add cumin & mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves.
    3)Now add green chillies ,onions and saute them for 5 min
    4)When the onions become translucent add salt and mixed veggies cook it for 5 min
    5)Finally add cauliflower into it and saute for 5-7 min (or until its cooked)
    6)add garam masala stir well and switch off the flame
    7)serve hot.
