Instructions
1)Wash, trim and cut the cauliflower into big florets. You can use a food processor/ mini chopper or the coarse side of a grater to cut the cauliflower into small grain like rice. Set aside.
2)Take a pan heat some oil ,add cumin & mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves.
3)Now add green chillies ,onions and saute them for 5 min
4)When the onions become translucent add salt and mixed veggies cook it for 5 min
5)Finally add cauliflower into it and saute for 5-7 min (or until its cooked)
6)add garam masala stir well and switch off the flame
7)serve hot.

Thakkali Sadam, this is the favorite mixedrice in our home, I have already posted one version of it ( the one that I make more often ) here in the blog, I don't use any masalas, garlic or coconut milk in that rice, just plain seasoning and green chillies for spice

6)Now add all the veggies (Carrot,capsicum,green peas, potatoes). 9)once the veggies get cooked add coconut milk powder and stir well. capsicum -1/2(optional). green peas -1/2 cup. salt - 1 1/2 tbsp. garam masala-1/2 tbsp
This curry goes well with paratha,pulka and also with rice. Chopped onion-1/2 cup. Cilantro/coriander leaves-2 tbs. Butter-1/2 tea spoon. turmeric-1/4th teaspoons. 1/4th teaspoons
Am not a big fan of store bought spice pastes or readymade rice mix, but i love to prepare myself those humble spice pastes at home whenever time permits
Occasionally stir it gently, so that the rice get mixed well with the tomato & yogurt paste. This Tomato-Curd Rice is what I used to make during such days
Switch off serve warm along with roti/ chapathis. But with the boredom of making the usual staples one day I tried a simple mixed vegetable side that had a good variety of veggies like broccoli, yellow and red carrots, cauliflower, green and red capsicum the result was a delicious side packed with flavors
Its similar to ghee ricemixed with gobhi manchurian (the base idea I had in mind). This recipe is one of my own creations, after reading many recipes for a cauliflowerrice dish
