Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 3/4 cup fine broken wheat (dalia)
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp soda ( For softer muthias, you can try using a little more soda or use eno salt. My muthias were medium in terms of softness)
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 2 tsp cumin and coriander seed powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-green chilly paste
  • Curd, as required ( I needed around 1/2 cup of curd)
  • 3-4 tbsp of oil
  • For tempering: Mustard seeds, 1-2 red chilly
  • For garnishing: Grated coconut, finely chopped coriander
