Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana Dal - Yellow Split lentils
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger
  • few leaves of mint and coriander
  • 1 tbsp Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green chili
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 8-10 fresh curry leaves (kadi patta)
  • 1 tbsp Semolina (Suji)
  • Oil for frying
