Ingredients

  • 1 small piece of ginger To
  • 1 tsp Chana dal
  • 3 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp pepper corns
  • 1 tsp udad dal
  • 1 cup of thick tamrind
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Chana dal Some fried peanuts may be added after Thokku is prepared
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1. It is a rich source of iron and folic acid and fights anaemia
