Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Toor Dal
  • 2 Tablespoon Chana Dal
  • 1 Medium red onion chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger piece chopped finely
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped finely
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon finely chopped cilantro leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 3 Garlic cloves chopped finely
  • 1 sprig of curry leaves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon red chilli powder
  • a big pinch of hing / Asafoetida
  • 1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi / dried fenugreek leaves
