Ingredients

  • 30 minutes Serves
  • 11/4 cup toor dal
  • 2 tomatoes chopped fine
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Salt
  • 1. Cook toor dal until mushy
  • 2. In a thick pan add
  • 3. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute till well cooked.
  • 4. Add the mashed dal and
  • 5 more minutes
  • 1. You can use a combination of moong and toor dal in this recipe
