During Navratri fasting or for any fasting only Samvat (barnyard millet) is allow to get and I wanted to share this recipe for very long time but didn't manage to find samachawal here
Samvat rice or Vratchawal as it is also called ( barnyard millets ) makes a good alternative to rice during Ekadashi and other festivals especially during Navratras when one is fasting
While cooking any rice based dish during fasts, samvat or sama grains are used instead, as they do not belong to the rice family but act as an healthy alternative
