Add the peas, the green chilli, if used, salt and pepper. The most common savoury dish with rice flakes, is almost the same recipe, but without peas (kande pohe - onion rice flakes) or with potatoes instead of the peas (batata pohe - rice flakes with potatoes)

On the other hand, I love any sweet or dessertmade of carrots like Gajar halwa or carrot kheer. My mum used to make this methi gajar (carrot stir fry with fenugreek leaves) which I absolutely hated at the time
