The recipe uses paneer or cottagecheese along with boiled and mashed potatoes so grilling makes the exposed filling nicely crisp while it’s soft and juicy inside
You can simply toast them with few drops of oil and add it to the sauce. Now add the batter fried cottagecheese in the sauce and serve along with rice or noodles
As I had some Paneer I decided to give it a try with the same. I was inspired to try this dish when I saw some stuffed mushroom recipe posts by other bloggers
I love experimenting with different paneer recipes but tend to default to tried and tested recipes - like this paneerbutter masala, kadai paneer, or Cashew chilli paneer - when it comes to cooking for guests
Instructions tomake palak paneer. Tender leaves of palak(spinach) are cooked with spices and blended to puree and served with shallow fried pieces of paneer
Cover the sieve with a wet muslin or cheese cloth and pour the curdled milk into it. Dip this muslin cloth it in a bowl of cold water, rinse the paneer with fresh water till it cools and hang it at a height or for the for the excess liquid to drain
when whey water removed completely place one plate, upon which cloth of curdled milk,then cover it again with one more plate, then keep heavy object on it as shown in the picture
the picture shown below is not at all mine, but its just for your reference, Courtesy. I planned tomake it a vegetarian savoury version and for me Paneer with colourful bell peppers was the best option
If you are vegan, you could sub the yoghurt and milk here with vegan almonds (I am told soya / almond milk and vegan cashew curd make a great substitute)
You can use ghee (clarified butter) instead of oil tomake paratha more yummy for kids. Knead the whole wheat flour flour with water to get a little stiff yet soft dough for making parathas
