Ingredients

  • 250 ml cup
  • 1/2 medium size bottle gourd ( peeled and grated ) ( approximately 1 and 1
  • 1 small onion
  • 3/4 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 onions
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 4-5 dry red chillies
  • 2 tablespoons pigeon peas
  • 1 teaspoon Bengal gram
  • 1 teaspoon husked and split black gram
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 2. To the bottle gourd, add all other ingredients given under
  • 7. Your koftas are ready. Set them aside.
  • 9. Now add the ginger, garlic, onion and tomatoes.
  • 10. Cook till the onions are transparent and tomatoes turn mushy.
  • 11. Add the tamarind and switch off.
