Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Salt - to taste
  • 2 tbsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Asofoetida (hing) - a pnch
  • 2. In a kadai, add oil. Once the oil heats up, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, hing and curry leaves.
  • 6. Cook for another
  • 7. the kovakkai should retain a slight crunch
