Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons refined oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Nigella seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Butter
  • 1/2 cup soya granules (soaked in hot water for 30 minutes and strained)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 black cardamom
  • A pinch asafoetida
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 inch piece ginger (grated)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt (to taste)
