Ingredients

  • 1 bowl whole Black Daal/ urad daal
  • 1 bowl chana daal
  • 1 tbsp desi ghee
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • a piece of Black cardamom( badi elaichi)
  • 1 tsp of rosted jeera (cumin) seeds/powder
  • 4 tomato chopped
  • 2 green chili finely chopped
  • Ginger,chopped-1 inch piece
  • Garlic,chopped- 6 to 8 cloves 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powdera pinch of Asafoetida (hing)
  • 1/2 tsp Dhania powder ( dried coriander powder)
  • fresh coriander
