Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Channa dal (soaked for 3 hours atleast )
  • 1 Medium onion chopped finely
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 4 to 5 curry leaves (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro leaves
  • a pinch of Hing / Asafoetida
  • Oil for deep frying
  • salt as required
