Festivals means sweets,whatever religion one may belong to ,sweet is one dish common in all. To the sugar syrup add roasted maida and fried cashew and keep stirring

However they are very big fan of food made up all purpose flour. Now add Fried flour and switch it off (yes you need to switch it off here) and continue to stir if any lumps form break it while stirring
Now cut into diamond shapes as shown. Its quite easytomake. Another easy way is mix all sugar, milk and ghee together and add all purpose flour and knead it
You can also try maidaburfi or its versions. This unlike other besan sweet recipes is comparitively easytomake as it does not require you tomake the sugar syrup and check its consistency
For any festival, we love tomakesweets and share with friends and relatives. Almonds are soaked, skinned, ground to paste and cooked with sugar syrup to get this delicious burfi
Score the tray withcriss-crosses, going all the way till the bottom of the tray. Tip out the mass onto the greased tray and spread it out FAST with your palms (its HOT, but cant be helped)
