Missing her so much past few days, so just thought to prepare MatarPaneer just the way she does and I won't say that its completely ditto as she has her magical touch in it, but yes to quite an extend ye I did it
Grind tomato, onion ,garlic andgingerinto a fine paste. This paneer recipe is very simple and easy to cook that's why you can cook this curry on any special occasion at home
Shallow fry the paneer cubes in oil. To it add the green peasand a pinch of salt. Turn off the heat, remove the tomatoes and put them in cold water so they are easy to handle
Matarpaneer , a very tasty creamy gravy dish using fresh or frozen green peasand cubed cottage cheese makes an excellent side dish for rotis, naan or phulkas
When I prepare MatarPaneer for guests, I make the gravy in advance the previous day ( till the step where the yoghurt is all cooked ) I usually pan fry the paneer cubes if I am making this for Guests so it stays fresh for longer and also makes it easier to add to the gravy
Heat oil in a pan,and deep fry the paneer pieces in hot oil over a high flame till the paneer is light brown(do not overcook the paneer, otherwise it will get hard)
This time I decided to try this recipe with Paneerand it turned out just as super delicious. A few weeks ago, I posted the recipe for Dahiwale Achari Bainganand it proved to be a hit with many of my fellow bloggers, not to mention my family
