  • 1 cup Tuvar dal/pigeon peas split
  • 2 cups water[to boil dal]
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Methi leaves/Fenugreek leaves,chopped
  • 1 medium size onion,chopped
  • 1 medium size tomato,chopped
  • 1 small green chili ,chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste | 8 cloves garlic,chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumins
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • a pinch of red chili powder[optional]
  • Coriander for garnishing[optional]
  • 1 tbsp ghee/clarified butter
