Kasuri methi / fenugreek leaves - half tsp, crushed. Now add the chopped tomato ,ginger garlic paste and cook it until tomato become mushy or until oil floats on the top
Add the garlic and ginger and stir-fry till aromatic. in fact I used it for the first time this year to make Masoor Dal Biryani (a vegetarian version and one with egg)
I served it with hot phulkas and jeera rice and my dinner was sorted. In a mean time, In a deep kadai, add ghee and cumin when they splutter, add the chopped onion and green chillies, fry till the onion get a golden brown color
Cook toor dal, moong dal, tomatoes with turmeric powder. In an wide bowl, take verything under for dough section and with required water make a tight dough

Serve hot / warm with above suggested dishes. As this tuber is low in GI (Glycemic Index), diabetics can also indulge this gravy with steamed brown rice or Cooked Lapsi (broken wheat)
