Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 medium bunch of methi leaves
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 medium tomato, roughly chopped (optional)
  • ½ inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3-4 green chilies, minced or chopped fine
  • 2 medium sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp salt OR to taste
  • Cilantro for garnishing
