Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kodo millet/Varagarisi
  • 3 medium sized potatoes
  • 2 Onions
  • 1- inch length Ginger (skin peeled)
  • 3-4 Garlic pods
  • 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Broken Cashews
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • As required to make paste-Maida
  • As required for outer covering-Bread Crumbs
  • As per taste-Salt
  • 1 ladle + for frying- Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder (adjust according to spiciness)
  • 2 teaspoons Garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dry ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • A pinch Hing

  • Method
  • 1 ) Wash and cook the Kodo Millet/varagarisi with 2 cups of water for about 3-4 whistles or until cooked.
  • 2 ) Boil the potatoes and peel the skin.
  • 3 ) In a chopper, add onions, ginger, garlic and finely chop them.
