Mutter Paneer (cottage cheese and green peas in creamy gravy) - simple pleasures of life and a delicious side dish

Ingredients

  • What do you need to make Mutter paneer?
  • 1 cup fresh or thawed frozen peas
  • 1-1.5 cups paneer chunks (I used home made)
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 Tsp kasoori methi (dried fenugreek)
  • 1/4 Tsp amchoor (dry mango powder) or juice of 1 lemon 1 Tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 Tbsp oil (use butter if you would like)
  • 1/2 Tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 3/4 Tsp dhania/coriander powder
  • 1/8 Tsp turmeric powder
