Ingredients

  • 500 grams mutton mince
  • 100 grams chana dal, washed and soaked for an hour
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 7-8 black pepper corns
  • 2 green cardamoms
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 3 cloves 4-5 dried red chillies
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons coriander seeds
  • salt as required
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 medium sized potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped and fried till light golden
  • a bunch of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • oil for shallow frying the kababs
