Today i have for you all " Nippattu " - one of the popular snacks from Karnataka. Since Krishna Janmashtami is around the corner, I thought of posting this recipe
It is a variation of RiceCrackers which are made in different shapes and sizes also called as Sabudana Chekkalu, Nippatturecipe in kannada, Thattai murukku recipe in tamil, Appalu, Chekkalu in telugu
Sieve together the rice flour, salt, asafoetida, red chilli powder, and curry leaf pieces. Aparna made it this year and generously shared her recipe as well as pics for the blog

Add rice flour. IngredientsRice flour – 2 cupsWater – 1 ½ cupOnion paste (small) – ½ pieceGarlic paste - 3 podsPeanuts powder – ¼ cup(Roasted & coarsely powdered)Curry leaves – 3 stringsRed chilli powder (or) green chilli to tasteChana dal – 1 ½ tsp (soak in water for an hour and drain)Oil to frySalt to taste Method Boil 1½ cup of water in a pan
