  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup medium thick beaten rice/aval
  • 1/8 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/8 cup gram dal (channa dal/kadalai paruppu)
  • 1/8 cup raisins
  • 1/8 cup roasted dal
  • Curry leaves
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 3 teaspoons oil
  • Salt

  • Method
  • 1. Heat a kadai and add 2 teaspoons oil.Fry oats and beaten rice one by one until crispy.Remove to a plate.
