Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups finely chopped palak / spinach leaves
  • 1 onion medium-sized
  • 1 tomato medium-sized
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1/2 cup moong dal / split yellow lentils
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 dry red chilli broken
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste
