Today's post is going to be another sweet recipe, Kasi Halwa, made with Pusinikkai/White Pumpkin. I love halwas, especially the ones made with vegetables, like the carrot halwa, bottle gourd halwa and beetroot halwa and they are all easy to make
and I am presening my favorite and super yummy Sooji ka Halwa. In a deep, heavy based sauce pan, melt the ghee add the mashed or pieced Banana and cook for a while, Add Sooji and stir fry over medium/low heat, depending on how often you stir it
- for banana kesari, I do not add any food color to keep it white, for strawberry kesari, I add pink food color, for green apple kesari, I add green food color and for pineapplekesari, I add yellow food color

Normally halwa is either made with wheat flour whish is often refered as Kadah Prashad or made with semolina /rava /sooji- Sooji kaa halwa but on special festive occasion halwa is made with fruits and vegetables like – Mango halwa , Doodhi halwa , Gajar kaa halwa and a special treat for festivals badam kaa halwa
Sooji ka halwa (sheera) using canned mango pulp the other day and it turned out to be fantastic. This mango sheera/halwa tastes amazing with a spiced up poori like Bedmi poori or methi ki poori or batata poori (potato puri) etc
