Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour or for a more hearty bread, use a combination, of whole wheat flour and all purpose flour. I used 1/2 of each flour, that is 1 1/2 cup of each flour.
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast ( use a fresh pack )
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar ( added to make the bread brown faster )
  • 1 tbsp oil ( added to soften the bread and keep it fresh.
  • 1 tsp salt
