Usually pakoras /fritters are added to this gravy , as it gets a little heavy( oily), I add caramelised onions which bring a little sweet, crunchy taste to the kadhi
I came across many, many recordings of authentic Punjabikadhi on the internet, and like a salad bowl, I put many of the suggestions and recommendations of folks into my bowl, made sure the flavor was perfect for our palates and came out with a really, truly good pakodi kadhi
prepared for this challenge are Vendayakeerai Parupu Urundai Morkuzhambu ( Steamed dumplingsinYoghurtgravy ) and Pakoda Kozhambu (ChettinadPakora Curry )
Sindhikadhi taste great with rice or serve as a soup. Heat the oil in a sauce pan over medium high heat, add fenugreek seed, and cumin seeds, as seeds crack add asafetida, red pepper, ginger, and curry leaves stir for few seconds

The flavors are slightly different, but essentially it is a buttermilk based dish that is thickened with besan/ chickpea flour or ground chana/ chickpeas
You have to beat it really well so that the dumplings absorb less quantity of oil. Whats better than to indulge yourself in Hot Kadhi rice duringwinterevenings
