Hi everyone Happy summer to u all. Today I am presenting a quick n tasty dish for a lazy summer afternoon meal. Enjoy!!!
Peel the potatoes and chop them in 1/2" square and leave in plain water for 20 mins. Remove from water and spread potatoes on a strainer so that all the water is washed away. You can also wipe them with kitchen napkin. This step is essential so as to avoid potatoes from sticking to the vessel.
Take 3 tbsp oil and add potatoes and heat the vessel.
Here, I want to give u a small tip, Add potaoes to the oil before oil is hot and they will not stick to the bottom and get burned.
Saute potatoes continuously in an open pan.
After they are cooked, add asfoetida, turmeric chilly and salt. Give a nice stir so that potatoes are covered with spices. Now add fresh coconut stir and switch off the gas.
I skip garam masala as I like it mild but u can add it for Xtra flavor.
This is perfect for your child's tiffin. It also goes well with Dal chawal. My comfort food !!!!
