Ingredients

  • 15 minutes Cooking time
  • 12-15 minutes Serves
  • 250 ml cup
  • 10 -12 shallots/sambar onions ( roughly chopped)
  • 1 tomato ( finely chopped)
  • 1 cup radish greens ( finely chopped)
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup pigeon peas/tuvar dal ( soak in warm water for 10 minutes)
  • 2 teaspoon coconut ( fresh, grated)
  • 1 dry red chilli ( I used guntur chilli, adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds /jeera
  • 1/2 " ginger ( grated)
  • pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
