Ingredients

  • 400 gms Raw Jackfruit / Kathal / Palakkai
  • 3 cup basmati rice - soaked in water for 20 mins
  • 2 medium sized onions - finely chopped
  • 1 tomato- finely chopped
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup hung curd
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • 4 cloves 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 mace
  • 1 tbsp saunf / fennel seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tbsp black cumin seeds / shah-jeera
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp dry ginger powder / sonth / sukku powder
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 tsp nutmeg powder
