Ingredients

  • 3 Cup Cooked Rice, cooled at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Grated mango - pulp of 1 mediums sized green mango
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 2 tbsp Shredded mango
  • 1 tbsp Shredded coconut
  • 2-3 Garlic pods - 2
  • 1/2 inch piece of Ginger
  • 2-3 Shallots ( optional, I didnt use any)
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder - Jeera powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp Bengal gram/channa dal
  • 2 tsp Urad dal
  • 2-3 dried Red chillies
  • A generous pinch of Asafoetida ( Heeng/Hing)
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • A handful of Curry leaves
