  • 5 mins Soaking time
  • 2 hours Fermentation time
  • 8 hours to overnight
  • 10 minutes for a batch
  • 1 cup Idli rice
  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • 2 cup Methi
  • 4 tsp Salt
  • 2. First grind dal, methi seeds to a fine paste with little water and transfer to a vessel.
  • 3. Then grind rice to a fine paste and transfer the batter to the same vessel.
  • 5. Mix the fermented batter well.Grease idli pan and pour a ladle of batter into each hole of idli plate and steam it.Repeat the same.
