Samai Salad Recipe | Indian Style Little Millet Salad with Garam Masala Vinaigratte Dressing | Gluten Free Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 ml cup
  • 1 small
  • 1/2 cup Little Millet
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas ( soaked and boiled)
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/4 capsicum
  • 100 gm cottage cheese
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder ( or chilli powder of your choice )
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon jaggery
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 small green chilli
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh herbs ( of your choice , I used mint
  • 3-4 days when kept refrigerated in a clean, odour less and air tight bottle.
  • 1. Take a small clean bottle , add the oil and vinegar, close the bottle tightly
  • 3. Now add all the spices, vegetables given under
  • 2. Cook the samai
  • 3. You can use a ladle or fork to toss them so that even if a few of them stick together, it will loosen them up
  • 4. Add all the chopped vegetables , herbs and mix well.
  • 5. Add little salt ( as the vinaigrette also has salt) and mix again.
  • 6. Spoon vinaigrette into the salad and toss well.
