Its been my long time wish to try North Indian style Sooji ka halwa/ Rava sheera. Rava/sooji, Sugar and ghee forms the basic ingredients for this sweet recipe
This is my Mom's recipe and nobody makes this yummy Sooji ka halwa like my mom. This sweet desert made from sooji (rawa), cooked in a ghee with sugar and other dry fruits
Sooji Ka Halwa. Roasting the sooji in advance and storing it , saves a lot of time. 'Halwa- Poori- Channa' is usually the festival prashad( offering) that is prepared on special pooja/ festival days in North India
The humble Sooji ka halwa. Once fragrant, add the sooji. The ease with which you can dish out this delectable bowl of halwa will make your head giddy and the people who eat it will be giddy from joy
We make it a must each year on this special night to perform as much prayers as possible and we also make it a must to prepare some "HalwaSooji" which we would share with our relatives and close ones
I am not sure about you but "Me",I would say give me a bowl of ,"Sooji ka halwa". a Rava Halwa,(my bowl of heaven) is one of my most favorite Indian sweet
SOOJI KA HALWA. · Heat a pan and roast the semolina( sooji) for on a low flame. · serve suji halwa hot. · 2 cups Semolina(sooji). · Stir the whole mixture very well and let the suji halwa cook for 5-6 minutes more. 2 cups Semolina(sooji)
