To make it vegan, use soyamince or crumbled tofuin place of paneer but note that the texture will be little chewy as compared tomelt-in-mouth texture of soft paneer
However this shami kebab goes for pan frying,eventhough you can simply bake them too. Though most of us love shami kebab prepared with meats, not toforget that many vegetarian and vegan version do exists

They are such a little party pleasers when served as a finger foods and also make a wonderful and wholesome meal when used as filling or stuffingfor KaTi Rolls, veggie wraps or in pitta bread along with some salad leaves (baby spinach, arugula or lettuce), sliced veggies (onion, tomato, cucumber, red/white cabbage, avocado etc) and drizzled with some sweet chilli sauce, mint chutney or any dipping sauce of your choice
