Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup Saamai / Little Millet - washed & soaked in water for 20 mins 1/8 cup green gram (moong dal / payatham paruppu) - roasted
  • 1 onion - finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrot
  • 2 green chilies - chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3-4 cup water (or) vegetable broth (or) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk (or) coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 cloves 1/4 cinnamon stick
  • 10-15 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp olive oil
