  • 500 gms Small Brinjals/Kathrikkai
  • 1 tsp tamarind paste
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 1 cup Bengal gram/kadala paruppu
  • 1/2 cup Whole urad dal/ muzhu uluthamparuppu
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds/dhaniya
  • 10 Red chillies
  • 1 small piece Asafoetida
  • As per taste Salt
