  • 1/2 cup toovar dal
  • 1/2 cup green moong dal (split green gram)pasi paruppu
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 whole dried red chillies
  • 1 medium size tomato finely chopped about 1/2 cup
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
