Most of the South Indians especially Tamil people make Vazhaipoovadai and Vazhaipoo paruppu usili using this vegetable and it would be their favorites as well
As not many like the taste of the flower, it is best enjoyed as these crispy fritters. A healthy snack for tea party, get togethers, picnics and of course on special occasions

When I had asked my husband to buy Banana stem when he visited Serangoon road he brought smaller piece which is not enough to make poriyal even with oats version
The stems were used in making many recipes as well,the fruits -Green or Yellow Banana were used to eat simply or as any other recipes ,similarly ,the heart of Banana,theBananaflowers are also used for making many homely yet tasty dishes
