Ingredients

  • 2 cups banana
  • 1/2 cup tuvar dal
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut ( grated or chopped)
  • 6-7 dry red chillies
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2. Add coconut and grind them to a fine paste adding water, little at a time and set it aside.
  • 5. Add the tamarind juice and allow the banana stem to cook in this juice for 3
  • 8. Add the asafoetida powder, mix and switch off.
